Why Choose Becker Audiology?

Trusted for More Than 20 Years

Becker Audiology has served local families since 2001. What began as a family practice has evolved into a multi-generational clinic, still grounded in the same values of care, honesty, and expertise.

Care from Doctors of Audiology

You’ll see highly trained Doctors of Audiology, not just hearing aid salespeople. Our doctors possess the education and clinical experience to treat hearing loss at every level, from routine testing to advanced hearing technology and guidance on cochlear implants.

Family-Owned, Patient-First

Because we’re family-owned, you’re never just a number. Patients often tell us they feel known and cared for the moment they walk in. Many of our new patients come from referrals by satisfied friends and family.

No Surprises

You’ll always know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and what it will cost. We explain everything in plain language so you can make confident decisions about your hearing.

Fast Access to Care

Unlike hospital systems where appointments can take six months, Becker can see you as soon as next week. You don’t have to wait to get answers and start hearing better.

Ongoing Support

Your hearing journey doesn’t end with a device. We provide a 60-day trial, routine check-ins, and walk-in troubleshooting, so your hearing stays clear and comfortable in every environment.

The Becker Story

Becker Audiology  began in 2001 when my father, Dr. Tim Becker, opened the doors after a career as head of pediatric audiology for 14 years at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and years as a university professor.

My dad always said…

Families and professional peers trusted my dad because he combined deep expertise with a straightforward approach: give people answers they can use, and care that allows them to regain the ability to hear with clarity. I grew up around that philosophy, and it shaped my career.

Hi, I’m Ryan Becker.

I studied audiology at the doctoral level, trained under respected clinicians, and had the privilege of being mentored directly by my father.

Mentoring

Working alongside him, I learned not just the science of hearing but how to listen. I observed how to meet each patient where they are and guide them toward solutions that improve their lives.

In 2016, I joined the practice as a Doctor of Audiology, and by 2020, I took ownership to continue the Becker standard of care, treating patients with warmth, respect, and clinical precision.

Now it’s personal

Our mission became even more personal when my daughter was diagnosed with hearing loss at just six weeks old. Suddenly, I wasn’t only an audiologist guiding you through your care decisions. I was also a parent, asking the same questions as our patients and their families, and making an informed choice about treatment.

Like most parents, my wife Kassie and I put our daughter’s wellbeing ahead of almost everything else. We could only imagine a future where she would thrive in any environment, and where hearing loss would not be an obstacle.

Deepened commitment

That experience deepened our commitment to providing compassionate and effective hearing care for our patients.

The experience pulled Kassie from her 9-year career in the automotive industry into the audiology field, and she joined as my partner in the clinic. Kassie holds an engineering degree from Minnesota State University.

She brought her empathy as a mom and her professional expertise in client services managing technical sales and processes. She quickly got to work to optimize the patient experience at Becker Audiology.

Focused on you

She transformed our “mom-and-pop” clinic into a well-oiled machine, modernizing systems so that every step of your care, from scheduling to follow-ups, is smooth, clear, and focused on you.

Patients feel that difference. You don’t wait months for an appointment. You don’t get lost in the shuffle. Our team is well-supported and free to focus on healthcare, with more of our attention on you.

Sophisticated instruments explained

Patients also receive detailed explanations about their hearing loss, including an understanding that hearing aids are small and sophisticated instruments. Like any tool, results do not only come from the device itself.

Instead, the expertise of the person handling the device makes the difference, including the precision and attention to detail in their fitting and programming, as well as the support you receive according to your unique conditions and diagnosis.

Relationship

That is why our process includes follow-ups, adjustments, and open walk-in hours.

Your hearing care is not impersonal or a transactional one-time sale from a retailer. Instead, you enter an ongoing relationship with a trusted and experienced medical professional, focused only on providing you with the highest standard of audiology care.

Today, our daughter …

Today, our daughter continues her own hearing journey. Starting life with hearing aids, she will receive cochlear implants. Our tiniest patient is a daily reminder of the importance of informed guidance and advanced care.

Nearly 25 years later, Becker Audiology remains family-owned, rooted in this community, led by Doctors of Audiology, and trusted by families ike yours.

We’ll continue to earn that trust with every patient we serve. This means, you get:

  • Care without surprises. Every step and every cost explained.
  • Highly trained audiologists, not retail salespeople.
  • Appointments within days, not months.
  • Ongoing follow-up to keep you hearing clearly in every environment.
